VR Tools: Safety Training Before Workshop Access

Developed for Tecnológico de Monterrey (ITESM) as part of a training course, VR Tools helps students learn the facilities, expected safety practices, and sequence behind each tool station before entering the physical workshop.
Start With Safety Context
The experience begins with a safety section where a narrator and signs introduce dress code expectations and required protective equipment. Rather than presenting safety as a detached checklist, the instruction is placed inside the kind of space where those choices matter. The learner sees the environment, follows the guidance, and can connect the rule to the situation it is meant to address.
Practice Station by Station
After the introduction, the course moves through tool stations with their own materials, procedures, and interaction steps. Text, narration, and visual guidance support the sequence. A station may cover how to work with a particular tool or material, including operations such as making straight or angled cuts, while keeping the learner inside a controlled training setting.

Keep a Clear Progress Record
The application records course progress, including completed sections and attempts. That record gives instructors a clearer view of where a learner is in the course and which parts still need attention. The important design idea is continuity: the same system that teaches the procedure also creates a useful record of the learning path.
